Guest Post

Greetings from the hot and humid state of Oklahoma!  My name is Mia Dymond and I write sexy contemporary romance novels with a twist of sass. I currently have fourteen novels available on retailers including iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Amazon, and Smashwords.

My most recent release is Treasure Me, Book in the Alpha Four series.  Alpha Four is a tough, no-nonsense group of ex-Army Rangers with muscles of stone and hearts of gold.  Book one is the story of Lt. Dagan “Rebel” Caldwell and Sophie Graystone, a couple who clashes at every turn with the need for control.  I hope you’ll enjoy the rocky journey they travel to fall in love.  Please enjoy an excerpt:

Once Rebel held two steaming cups of coffee, he headed back to the table and sat beside her.  Much to his relief, she wasted no time in touching him.  She wrapped one hand around her cup, and wrapped the other around his forearm, her fingers drawing lazy circles against his skin.

“I’m curious,” she said as her fingers taunted the nerves beneath his skin, “how did you get your nickname?”

He chuckled low under his breath.  Curiosity was a good start.

“Curious, huh?”

She nodded.

“I’ve never been one to follow protocol.”

“In the Army?”

“In life.  I enlisted in an act of rebellion.”

“Is that a decision you regret?”

“Not in the least.  Thunder, Chaos, and Ace made it all worthwhile.”

“You guys are close.”

“I take it there are several stories behind those nicknames too.”

He nodded without elaboration.

“So,” she prompted, “tell me about your team.”

“Can’t do that.”

“Confidential.  I’d have to silence you if I told you and I’m not sure that’s possible.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’m confident you’d find a way to challenge my methods.”

“You’d be disappointed if I didn’t.”

He snickered, aroused as hell by the fact that she didn’t hesitate before she fired right back at him.  No doubt, she’d challenge him alright and she was absolutely correct when she responded – disappointed didn’t begin to describe his feelings.
“Thunder assembled Alpha Four when he retired from the Army. It only took three phone calls to build a team.”

“The four of you are very loyal.”

He nodded.  “There’s just something about fighting evil that brings a team together.”

“Do you think about it often?”

He hesitated, weighing the decision to answer her.  He’d seen a whole lot of evil during his military tours, things that he’d never share with her.  Yet, thanks to Uncle Sam and Thunder, he’d learned to file it so far away that even memory couldn’t find it.

He glanced down at her fingers, still rubbing circles on his forearm and distracting him from answering her question.  Her soft, gentle touch caused the nerves under his skin to quiver with excitement.  What in the hell had she asked?

“I can’t concentrate when you do that.”

Her brow furrowed.  “Do what?”

He glanced down at her fingers.  “That.  You’re driving me crazy.”

“Oh, really?”

Before he could stop himself, he nodded.  Oh. Hell. So much for never let them see you sweat.  He’d pretty much just handed her a whole locker of ammunition.

“Well, then.”  She blinked those deep, dark eyelashes several times as her fingers continued their assault.  “Perhaps you should answer my question.”

“I mean, no I don’t think about the evils in my past often.  Alpha Four gives me plenty to think about.”

“Are you in danger?”

“Not always.  Sometimes our assignments are as mundane as installing a security system.”

“Other times you put your life on the line for someone else.”

“Like me.”

“Well, no one’s tried to kill you …. yet.”  He gave her hand a slight squeeze, buying a second of courage for his next comment.  “But I’d put my life on the line for you without a second thought.”

I hope you’ll enjoy Treasure Me!  Happy Reading!!!

Do you enjoy a quick read that is filled with attraction at first site, romance, suspense, and one that will keep your attention from beginning to end the pick Treasure Me!! This is a first time read by this author for me and I was not mislead by the sypnosis.  I loved that it dealt with artifacts and had romance all into one great refreshing read.  With a strong heroine and hero characters this book had plenty of twists to keep you wondering what was in store next. The author wrote both characters to be pleasant and I enjoyed the interaction between these two. Yes you have this ex military man but he also showed that he is equal to Sophie, which i loved!!! Sophie is a hard worker but loves to get into trouble or does it find her? When her father calls in the security team we see tension form as they try to see who is behind trying to go after Sophie. Of course this novel leads to a whole new level. I enjoyed the plot and loved the characters! ! Is there room for another book coming I do believe so with what we saw. I would definitely pick this author up again and read this and other novels by her.

She knows her aunt, the duchess, has plenty of lessons in store to prepare her for her grand debut. Music type romance novels are not typically my genre of reads; however,  I sometimes do get into those moods where I want to try one out. I was very happy that I picked this one up to try out at the time! You receive a delicious variety of different authors and their writing styles and some of these Indie authors I already have read and enjoyed their other genres. Usually in an anthology you may have a couple that are weaker but this anthology was a perfect fit because to me all the authors brought a great mix. You will get demons, crazy exes and of course vampires. The characters in each novel were exquisite and strong to bring extra flow to the storyline. The plots where definitely original and I have to say that they each were original and had plenty of description. I do hope that there may be a couple of stories leading off some of these.  Hurry up and pick this jewel up to see what treasure lies beneath the cover.

✴🔥✴In the Valley of Lily by Katja Doremus ✴🔥✴

In The Valley of Lily
Katja Doremus
Releases: 18th February 2015
Genre: Dark Erotic Romance

**Disclaimer** the novel contains forced seduction, dubious consent, multiple partners/orgy (both male and female), bondage and impact play.

Lily Jones had agreed to work for the reclusive Mr. Edward Darby for the summer at his remote Chateau Oriol in the mountains of Spain. Upon her arrival, she discovers he expects more from his maid than a well-ordered house – he demands absolute obedience. As she explores the shadowy corridors of the fairytale chateau, Lily cannot shake the feeling that behind the locked doors lie unspeakable secrets. In the Valley of Lily is the story of unexpected lust and wild passions, of savage couplings, and the unexpected freedom that can only be discovered through complete and utter submission.

Do you like Dark Erotica novels, then this is one for you to pick up! The darkness and intensity of this novel will keep you intrigued to the end. I enjoy reading all genres. For those of us that know what entails into these kind of novels it perks my interest of the differences authors come up within each novel. For those that aren’t used to them be prepared to be encaptured into a whole new world that will knock you off your feet. Lily has decided to take a job as a servant but little does she know that her knowledge of servant is about to be thoroughly opened up on a whole new level. As she starts to open up she realizes her inner self and becomes opened to this new life. Mr.Darby is rich, handsome, and definitely radiates alpha dom in thus story! The author will draw you in with this story and has truly done her research on how a dom/sub relationship works. It is hot, it is gritty, some may consider it abusive; but it well worth you picking up and reading the transformation of Lily. This is the thing I enjoy about dark novels it takes you into that gray area and lets you see other lifestyles! I enjoyed the plot and how the author made you in a way feel sorry for her because she wasn’t used to this lifestyle; however, as the story unfolds so does the passion between these two. Mr.Darby was definitely an excellent dom in this novel! Yes he was rough but he had to see how far to break her; however, the after affect is what made me like him. If you enjoy a book with lots of hot downright raw scenes then grab In the Valley of Lily because there is plenty of them.

Kissed At Midnight - Cover

August Avery, a renowned civil engineer, has found himself the sole custodian of his cousin’s six month old daughter and he needs assistance—fast. He understands how to build railways, to construct bridges and to save the railway tycoons thousands of pounds. He doesn’t understand, however, how to care for a child.

When Ivy Davis turns up at his door looking for work, he believes his prayers are answered. If only the exotic, exuberant young woman did not prove to be such a distraction from his busy workload.

Unsure if she is even up to the task of looking after a baby, Ivy finds herself swayed by the handsome and slightly desperate August into working for him. With her singing career failing before it even started and no other talents, she decides looking after a young child cannot be so hard, surely?

But the child may turn out to be the least of her worries. Her handsome, brooding master seems to keep her awake more than the baby. Add to that her desire to achieve her dreams of singing on stage and the machinations of the indomitable Mrs. Pepperwhite who sees her as competition for August’s hand, Ivy finds this simple job growing harder by the day—as does her desire for her master…

Ivy darted a look at the door as she eased herself down onto the bed beside her master. The housekeeper could have no reason to come upstairs but if she caught her in the master’s room—on his bed no less—she could be in quite a pickle.

“Mr.—” A snore escaped his mouth and she shook her head. “Oh dear, Mr. Avery. You are the one who is in a pickle I think. Or more likely utterly foxed.”

Leaning over, she went to grasp his hand to study the damage and froze when he grunted and rolled towards her. His arm landed near her backside on the bed and his head was almost on her lap. Ivy attempted to take his hurt hand from behind her but he twined it out of her grasp and released a low mumble. She gasped when his hand curved around her backside. She wore only her chemise and her drawers. Mr. Avery’s warm hand fairly burned through the cotton, feeling as though she would wake up with a handprint on her bottom.

She twisted to yank his hand away, only to end up with his head pressed against the side of her breast. Mr Avery nuzzled his face against her breast and she stilled. She should draw away, press him back, but for some reason her body refused to cooperate. Hands to his head, she found his hair to be soft and thick.

Oh dear. One part of her body seemed to be working—her fingers. They twined into the softness, so at odds with the rest of him, from his stern features to what she suspected was a body that rivalled the statues of London. He released a muffled groan against her and she heard him inhale deeply.

“Smell so good,” he murmured.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. She was going to lose her job not two days into it if she was not careful. Her nipples were tight and hard. Lush heat rolled through her as he burrowed closer and his hand splayed across her back to hold her to him.

A creak from somewhere else in the house startled her into action. She jerked back and clasped his wrist to force his hand back. At least in his foxed state he wasn’t particularly strong. She had no doubt if he really wanted to keep hold of her, he could, but had he been sober, she was positive he’d want nothing to do with the governess.  A man like Mr Avery likely enjoyed the company of women less… interesting-looking than her. Blonde ones with soft features and a delicate manner.

He rolled onto his back, a grin cracking his face. His eyes were at half-mast and she wasn’t sure what amused him. Recalling her original reason for being on the bed, she grasped his hand and inspected the cut. It had already stopped bleeding so couldn’t be deep. Ivy rolled her eyes to herself. All this for a tiny scratch. At least he was so foxed he would never recall any of it.

Samantha Holt has done it again! The cover is another gorgeous and very fitting for this novel time. She is able to take a novel and pull me into her web. The plot was exceptionally written and you had plenty of bantor, laughs, and the kindling to a romance. I loved the characters August and Ivy! August,  didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he became responsive for his relatives baby. Everything he has done to be where he is was through hard work. His character was more than a gentleman,  he does have a kind heart.  By a mistake of address he was saved, or was he? Ivy, is very outspoken and doesn’t have a filter on her mouth. She is not what would be expected of a proper upbringing during that time. I think she was my favorite characters because of this. I have to say that the author knows how to take a story and create a masterpiece because of the plot and characters fit so perfectly! You receive enough details so your not wondering what is going on, and also backstory such as with this story. The passionate scenes are sensual and not overly done; yet, gave me enough for this romance to truly be a romance. You can almost feel the tension that these two go through as the attraction grows.  From the beginning of the novel to the end I am yet again fascinated with her writing and the passion the author puts into every novel! Grab Kissed by Midnight and fall in love with August and Ivy!!!!

Samantha lives in a small village in England with her gorgeous twin girls. She enjoys writing historical romance involving chivalrous knights, hot highlanders and cravatted men, but sometimes gets lured away by bad boy bikers, soldiers and other heroic modern men.
