Revealed Cover v4Synopsis

Tortured beyond Endurance…

Kelly Wachowski has no memory of her life before she was five. Despite being one of the ‘found’ children and her uncanny ability to assimilate languages, she’s managed to live a normal life for twenty years until the day she was kidnapped. Tortured beyond endurance she prayed for death while she dreamed of a boy long forgotten-Noah.

A Hero with a Secret…

Samson Noah Kukailimoku is another ‘found’ child. His existence was kept secret by the Polynesian family who adopted him. Now he’s a highly decorated naval officer, and part of an elite unit whose mission is to rescue children like Kelly. The closer he gets to finding her the more he connects to her and shares the pain of her torture and the dreams of their shared past.

A Love That Is More than a Dream…

After her rescue, Kelly is convinced she’s losing her mind as she experiences Noah’s life in a waking dream. Knowing she’s in danger, Noah must save Kelly from herself and those tracking her, moving Heaven and Earth to protect her. Linked by their past, danger and deception follow them everywhere. Together they discover a love and passion surpassing all of their dreams, but before they can have a future together they have to solve the mystery of their past.

The mission was a success, it had gone like clockwork.  Then Noah got back to the room, and found Sarah with Sierra and Kali.  Kali still had some blood in her hair, and even though the women explained what happened he lost his mind.  Literally lost his mind.

Noah didn’t care what the others thought as he dragged Kali out of the room down the hall to a private room he had booked.

“Take off your clothes.”

“Now.”  His boots hit the floor, then the knife, gun, and jacket.  She stood there, her blonde hair still in disarray, some strands still showing red.  When he was down to his jeans he grabbed her around the waist and yanked her against him.

“Don’t you ever put yourself in harm’s way again.  Ever.  I would die if something were to happen to you!”  Noah jerked the T-shirt over her head and had the bra off her before she had time to react.

“Noah, Sierra was with me.  We were in a public place.  We were perfectly fine…”  His tongue thrust into her mouth and the sense of panic began to slowly dissipate.  God, the taste of her, the heat of her.  Just her, just Kali, how could he have gone through the last twenty years not remembering her?  He tipped them onto the bed, frantically pulling at her khakis.  Thank God all of her clothes were loose, so he could easily remove them.  He skipped trying to unbutton or unzip anything, and pulled them off her.  He saw the plain white cotton panties she was wearing and smiled.  Only Kali could make those look good.

“Quit ogling my sexy lingerie and strip Kukailimoku.  I want to see the goods.”

He ignored her, and slowly pulled down her panties.  Kali’s light blonde curls were already damp.  He watched in fascination as the lean muscles of her thighs tightened as she went to clamp them together, but he was having none of that.

“Open Kali.  Spread your legs for me.”  He looked into those blue depths and saw her hesitation, but he also felt her curiosity, and he could definitely see and smell her desire.  They hadn’t played these games in the bedroom, and now they were at a point where it wasn’t a game.  She had put herself in harm’s way, and Noah had a deep seated need to exert his dominance over his woman.  He didn’t want to, nor would he ever hurt or humiliate Kali, but this?

“Kali, part your legs.”  He watched as the plump white lips of her pussy slowly opened, showing him the slick essence of her arousal.  She trembled and he stroked the glistening pink folds.  “Wider.”  He watched her with steady eyes, as she struggled with his command, but her knees drifted outwards, allowing him to push and twist two fingers into her hot, tight channel.  Her whimper was music to his ears.

“You are mine.  This body is mine.  You are mine to care for.  You will not take risks with what is mine.”

Her eyes turned a deep navy, their wills clashing as her hips arched into his caress.  “I knew what…hmmm”

He rubbed circles on a spot inside her, his thumb teasing her engorged clit, and was rewarded with a burst of honey.

“Noah, more.”  She pressed into his hand.

“No.  Not until you agree that when it comes to your safety I am in charge.”  Her eyes were at half-mast.  He felt her confusion, her anger, but underneath it all, he felt her understanding.  He wasn’t above using that.

“Please baby, I need this,” he said as he continued stroking in and out, his eyes leaving her face to see the beauty of her sex splayed before him.  “I need to know you’re protected.”

He delved deeper, and Kali arched higher, so close he felt the burn.

“If I feel you’re in danger, I’m not focused, and I might make mistakes.”  Her hips dropped onto the bed with a thud.

“Oh no.”  He was right.  “Noah, I wasn’t thinking.  I forgot how connected we are.”

“We still are Kali.”  He licked along the folds of her sex, around his fingers, tasting all of the honey he had been dying to sample.

He felt her explode, and it was amazing.  He actually experienced her orgasm, and had to exert all of his control not to come.  There was no way he was going to deny himself the pleasure of coming inside this woman’s body.  Stripping out of his jeans, it took him moments longer to put on the condom than it should have.

Looking at Kali lying in front of him, he realized he had everything he could ever want.  Somehow his life had come into complete focus.  He was blessed, and he was going to die if he didn’t get inside her.

Kali realized Noah had used sex to manipulate her into agreeing.  She resented it, but she couldn’t blame him when she had felt his anguish.  She reached out and grabbed hold of him, he was her everything, and she needed him inside her.  He started slow, he always did, like she was some kind of delicate thing.  This time she was having none of his nonsense.  She wrapped her legs around his hips and took him inside her in one fast plunge, rejoicing in the feel of him.

“Kali!”  He looked at her, his eyes filled with concern and censure.  She smiled beaming with contentment.

“You feel so good, and I needed you.  Now move.  Fuck me, Noah.”  He hesitated for all of a second and then pulled out and thrust deep and hard.  God it felt good.  “Again, and again, and again.”  They grinned in perfect accord.  Kali looked into his eyes, as they turned from brown to black and filled her vision, filled her world.  She saw her blue eyes through his, for just a moment, and they glowed like sapphires.  Then both colors splintered into the night sky, and she flew with Noah.

Ok I have to first say I love Kali’s actual name! The author has taken the ability to create more than just another romance novel with this one; you are encased into a world that is opened to mystery and also possibly fantasy/sci-fi!  Trust me you do get plenty of hot erotic and romance scenes to balance it out. However,  as I read the author gave only bits and pieces of what was to come and what truly was going on. I extremely enjoyed reading this novel because it kept my attention at all times and trust me there are plenty of twists added! When I say that authors have a uniquely written novel well Revealed is at the top; however, the author has outdone herself because it is AMAZING!   The characters are amazingly written and I loved all of them. Yes there were portions of Noah that I did possibly want to slap him but I do have to say he did earn my love again.  Lol. Kali, I couldn’t find any fault at all. When these two get together there is an explosion of chemistry and your able to feel it through the passion and each emotions that they go through.  You also get a peak at some of the other characters that are considered ‘found’. What are they, well read this pandora box novel and see! The overall novel was fantastic and one I would reread! I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series. If you love a mixture of genres that fit together like a puzzle but in the form of words I strongly recommend Revealed!

Author Bio

10899986_1537995699804922_570479309709522933_oI was born in Seattle Washington, but soon moved to a small town North of there, which is where I grew up. I’m the oldest of five children, so it was a lively household, and reading became my way to block out the noise. I am an avid reader. I love every genre, but romance and happily ever afters have always been my favorite books. I remember in middle school my biology teacher taking a Rosemary Rogers book away from me; I didn’t understand why-she was certainly teaching me aspects of biology!

As I grew up, I would write stories to entertain myself and my younger siblings. I often wrote their book reports for them. My brothers were only one year apart in age. I wrote a report for the oldest his senior year, he turned it in and got a B+. The next year John turned in the same report to the same teacher and got an A-, the year after that the youngest turned it in to the same teacher and got an A. The teacher liked it better each time he read it!

I’ve worked in corporate America for most of my life, where a lot of creative writing takes place (and if you don’t believe me, you really don’t know corporate America). I blogged to all my employees when I spent six weeks in India-they considered me quite the smartass. My corporate life has allowed me to live in Washington, Texas, Belgium and California.

I have been with the same man for seventeen years. He was born and raised in Texas, and twelve years ago I whisked him, kicking and screaming, to Southern California. Luckily he loves me and wants to be where I am, but he’s still a Texan at heart (although he doesn’t miss Texas summers). I’m a very lucky woman who enjoys swimming, traveling, babysitting her nieces and nephews and doing lots of “research” with her husband for upcoming books.

After being such a fan of romance all my life, I was reading Sophie Oak’s Bliss and Siren in the City series last year, and they weren’t coming out fast enough. I started thinking about a place up in the Northwest, and characters started spinning in my head. Then came Chance. Once he was there, he demanded to be put down on paper. I don’t really write the stories. For real, the stories just come out of my fingers onto the computer screen. Half the time I’m surprised by what ends up being typed!

Revealedl FB Teaser v3

Chapter One

“Tell me where you came from.”

It always started this way.  First the question, then the excruciating pain as the electric paddles were held against her temples.  The smell of her burning flesh.  Then they would take the rubber bit from her mouth and ask another question.  Another question she couldn’t answer.

“How many of you are there?”

She prayed to all the saints her mother taught her that this time she would pass out.  It was the only thing to ever stop the questions.  Stop the pain.

“I don’t know!” she wailed, as the bit was shoved into her mouth. She squeezed her eyes so tight she saw stars before the shocking red flames took over her very being.

“Where did you come from?  Where are the rest of you now?”  They yanked the bit from her mouth, making her lip bleed.

“Just tell me what you want me to say…” her voice didn’t sound like her own.  For hours or months, she wasn’t sure how long she begged them to tell her what they wanted her to answer.  The paddles were again placed on her temples.  Fire exploded behind her eyes and her teeth actually tore into the rubber bit.

She wasn’t strapped down.  She stretched and it felt wonderful, until the pins and needles started.  Where was she?  She wanted to see if they noticed they forgot to buckle the straps. She tried to look around.  She couldn’t.  She was blind.  They’d blinded her, the shock therapy had blinded her.  Oh God.  She trembled in horror for long moments before realizing it was her eyelids, they were swollen shut.  She tried to touch them to make sure it was the only thing wrong but pain seared her arm.

Moving slowly to restore some circulation to her limbs, she realized she was lying on something soft.  Rolling just a little so she wasn’t lying on her arm, she fell on to a hard cement floor.  It hurt, it was cold, but at least she could move.  Trying to stand up, she used the cot as leverage, but her legs wouldn’t support her.

She crawled and bumped her head against a wall.  Using it as a guide she followed it around the small room with cement walls, basically a cell.  Mostly empty except for the cot and the toilet, there was a tray with something that felt and smelled like bread and cheese.  She wolfed down some of the food, but there wasn’t anything to drink.  Crawling over to the toilet she flushed it, then greedily drank handfuls of water.

“Good to see you’re back with us Kelly.”  She hadn’t heard any door open or anything else to indicate she wasn’t alone.

“Who are you?  What do you want from me?”  Cringing at the desperate edge in her voice, she clamped her lips tight.  God, how she wanted to beg for water that didn’t come from a toilet, for food, or a blanket, or to go home.

“Who are we?  You don’t get to ask the questions, we do.  We want to know who all of you are.  We know about you and the four others.  You all showed up twenty years ago.  Why did you come here?  Where did you come from?”  The woman’s voice was calm and soothing.  It was like they were having a polite conversation, but Kelly knew the horror awaiting her at the woman’s command.

“I told you, I don’t remember anything before waking up in Dad’s police car.”  Kelly’s voice was raspy from all the screams, but at least it was even.

“But Kelly, Mike Wachowski isn’t really your father now is he?”  Again the woman’s speech was calm and soothing.  “You appeared out of thin air twenty years ago and were adopted into his family, isn’t that right?”

It wasn’t a question, and Kelly didn’t reply, but suddenly realized what was coming next.  She’d forgotten.  This wasn’t the first time she’d woken up in this room and drank from the toilet bowl.  Doubted it was even the tenth time.  It had to be the shock treatments.  They were messing with her memory.  She didn’t remember when she’d been kidnapped, but it had to have been well over a month, oh God, could it have been a year?

She sat there, turning her head away from the direction of the voice.  She waited, and then heard more people entering the cell, knowing what came next.  Holding up her arms she didn’t have long to wait, they were there, grabbing and dragging her out.

“Shove the bit in again.  I don’t want her biting through her tongue.  Hopefully this new dosage will break down the damn barrier.”

Whatever chemicals they gave her burned as they made their way into her system.  She moaned around the rubber bit and struggled with the restraints as the paddles were placed against her temples.  Maybe they’d finally kill her and her suffering would end.

First black, then white, and then the red of fire and pain.  Coursing through her like molten fire, through every molecule, forcing her to lose control of her bodily functions.

The colors burst in front of her, yellows, purples, pinks and blues.  Ripping the head off one wildflower she pushed it against her nose and inhaled the fragrance, and then threw back her head and laughed.  The sun was up and warm against her bare shoulders.  Charging forward, she giggled as the flowers brushed legs, the soft grass squishy between her toes.  She soared over the log in her path, and then she saw him.

Noah was her best friend.  She knew he wanted to be alone, but he needed her.  Tiptoeing behind him, she jumped up to surprise him as he turned around.  He gave her a dark look but she smiled at him and flung her arms wide, watching as his face suffused with laughter.  He scooped her up and twirled her around.  He was nine and she was five, but their age difference didn’t matter, they were best friends.  Grabbing his silky black hair as he twirled her, she hugged his neck, and Kali was content.  Nothing was better in her world than loving Noah, he belonged to her.

“Don’t be sad anymore, Noah.”

“I’m not sad, Kali.”

“Don’t lie.”

“I’m leaving with the others.”  She’d known.  But she didn’t want him to leave.  “Kalani, you need to understand, let me show you.”  He touched their foreheads together.

“No, I don’t want to see.”

“Open up Kali, you need to see.  Let me show you.”

Kali relaxed and let him share the other universe needing their help.  He revealed everything.  So many things didn’t make sense, but the pain and suffering was easy to comprehend, and more, she could see what it was Noah and the others were supposed to do.  It was simple, they were to be themselves and just help a little.

He was right, he had to go, it was important.  Kali started to cry.  She knew it meant she would have to leave everything she loved, her Nana, the meadow, and everything else, because there was no way Noah was leaving without her.

Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth (otherwise known as the Midlands, England) and spend her childhood learning all the sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride, box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword (with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find that adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days.

So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more than their fair share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all…

(But she keeps that sword sharp, just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really *is* an adventurer.)

The boring part: A full time author and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet, frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. Lady of the Flames

by Barbara Monajem

Series: A Most Peculiar Season

Genre: Regency Historical Paranormal Romance

Release Date: March 23, 2015

Magic is fraught with peril—but so is love.

Lord Fenimore Trent’s uncanny affinity for knives and other sharp blades led to knife fights, duels, and murderous brawls. Five years ago, he faced a choice: marry Andromeda Gibbons, the woman he loved, or find a safe, peaceful use for his blades by opening a furniture shop—an unacceptable occupation for a man of noble birth. The choice made itself when Andromeda turned to another man. The furniture shop prospered, but now Fen’s partner has been accused of treason. In order to root out the real traitor, he may face another unpalatable choice—to resort to the violent use of his blades once again.

Once upon a time, Andromeda Gibbons believed in magic. That belief faded after her mother’s death and vanished completely when Lord Fenimore, the man she loved, spurned her. Five years later, Andromeda has molded herself into a perfect—and perfectly unhappy—lady. When she overhears her haughty betrothed, the Earl of Slough, plotting treason, she flees into the London night—to Fen, the one man she knows she can trust. But taking refuge with Fen proves to mean far more than getting help—it means learning to believe in love, magic, and the real Andromeda once again.

Setup: After learning of a treasonous plot, Andromeda fled into the London night to find Lord Fenimore, a man she can trust.

There was a woman outside his window, and as Fen pushed it full open, he realized who she was. “What the devil are you doing here?” he said.

Andromeda burst into tears. Oh, hell. Fen climbed out onto the roof.

Diggs, the beggar who habitually slept in the yard, called from below. “You want I should fetch the Watch, my lord?”

“Unnecessary.” Fen pulled the sobbing Andromeda to her feet. She gasped as if in pain, and tears streamed down her face. Her hair lay in a tangle on her shoulders, and her slippers were torn to ribbons. Had she walked all the way here in footwear suited only for dancing at a ball? What in hell was going on?

His mind raced through the possibilities of what her arrival just before dawn, exhausted and distraught, might mean. She wasn’t wearing the same gown as before–probably because she’d spilled her wine on it.

A knife on the roof beside her was making its presence known. Be still, he told it. Was that blood on the blade? “Damn.” Confound it, he’d cursed again, but he couldn’t afford to have a woman on the premises. It just wouldn’t do, and especially not this woman, and especially not now.

“Don’t usually see visitors of the female persuasion here, my lord.” Diggs sounded amused. Everyone knew about Fen’s past reputation, even though he’d been discreet for five years.

“That’s not about to change. She’s just a friend who’s gotten herself into a spot of trouble.”

Diggs snorted, and Andromeda gaped at Fen with wide, tear-drenched eyes. What if she really were with child? He hoped she wasn’t such a fool, but he didn’t intend to let it become his problem.

He pushed her gently toward the window. “Go inside and wait for me. I’ll take you straight home.”

“No!” squeaked Andromeda. “Please, you mustn’t. It’s—it’s life or death, Fen.”

“Go inside,” Fen said through gritted teeth. “Now.”

Andromeda hiccupped on a sob and got a hold of herself. She hiked her skirts, hobbled to the window, and hitched one leg over the sill. Her gown rode up, revealing shapely legs. She sagged inward, raised the other leg, and would have toppled inside if Fen hadn’t grabbed her by the arm and bum and let her down slowly.

He made a point of not noticing the soft plumpness of that bum.

He padded across the roof of the bump-out, got down on his haunches, and spoke quietly to Diggs. “Go back to sleep, and keep your mouth shut about this. There’ll be a shilling for you in the morning.”

“Right you are, my lord.”

Fen watched the beggar amble back to his pile of rags. What had happened to Andromeda between an hour ago and now? Why had she come to him? Why didn’t she want to go home? And what the devil was he going to do with her?

He pulled himself together; he would get the story from her soon enough.

The knife came eagerly to his reaching hand. He climbed in the window, shut it, and closed the curtains. Andromeda was huddled on the hearthrug, eyes closed, her knees drawn up to her chest, racked by great, convulsive shudders.

He set the knife on the dressing table, examining in the candlelight the dark stains on the blade. He put one fingertip to the sticky blade, then sniffed it. Blood indeed.

Something terrible must have happened to drive Andromeda here, and she was clearly in a state of shock. He knew an urge to take her in his arms, to hold and comfort her, but dismissed that as insanity. He had almost ruined his life once for Andromeda; never again.

He lit the branch of candles on the dresser. “I’ll start a fire, shall I?” he said briskly. “Get you warmed up.”

She opened her eyes and stared at him, teeth chattering. “Y-y-you’re stark naked, Fen.”

Barbara Monajem grew up in western Canada. She wrote her first story, a fantasy about apple tree gnomes, when she was eight years old, and dabbled in neighborhood musicals at the age of ten. At twelve, she spent a year in Oxford, England, soaking up culture and history, grubbing around at an archaeological dig, playing twosy-ball against the school wall, and spending her pocket money on adventure novels. Thanks to her mother, she became addicted to Regency romances as well. She is the award-winning author of several Regency novellas, many of which include elements of magic, and the Bayou Gavotte series of paranormal mysteries. Apart from writing, she loves to cook (especially soups), and the only item on her bucket list is to be successful at knitting socks (which she doesn’t expect to achieve). She lives near Atlanta, Georgia, with an ever-shifting population of relatives, friends, and feline strays.

In the third in Katharine Ashe’s Prince Catchers series, the eldest of three very different sisters must fulfill a prophecy to discover their birthright. But if Eleanor is destined to marry a prince, why can’t she resist the scoundrel who seduced her?

She can pour tea, manage a household, and sew a modest gown. In short, Eleanor Caulfield is the perfect vicar’s daughter. Yet there was a time when she’d risked everything for a black-eyed gypsy who left her brokenhearted. Now he stands before her-dark, virile, and ready to escort her on a journey to find the truth about her heritage.

Leaving eleven years ago should have given Taliesin freedom. Instead he’s returned to Eleanor, determined to have her all to himself, tempting her with kisses and promising her a passion she’s so long denied herself. But if he was infatuated before, he’s utterly unprepared for what will happen when Eleanor decides to abandon convention-and truly live . . .

Eleanor held the porcelain cup to her lips and inhaled until she felt it in her toes.

Mrs. Hodges plunked her hands on her hips. “Well, aren’t you going to drink it?”

“I am reveling.” Her lips could nearly taste it. Nearly. Temptation. The waiting teased. Deliciously.

“You’re an odd duck, aren’t you, miss?”

“Not usually.” She tilted the cup upward. “Usually I am entirely predictable. Reserved. Modest.” Her words were muffled by the rich liquid so close, heating her flesh. Heady sensation. “Usually I am very”-she let the chocolate wash against her lips-“very”-and a ripple of pleasure went through her-“good.” It stole around her tongue. Decadent. Sinful.

She sighed.

Taliesin appeared in the kitchen door.

She choked.

“Well now, sir,” Mrs. Hodges said, wiping her hands on her apron. “Miss was just teaching me here how to make chocolate like they do at all the big houses.”

He leaned a shoulder into the doorpost and crossed his arms. His shadowy eyes scanned her from toe tips to brow, finally coming to rest on her lips. “Was she?”

A thick droplet of chocolate clung to her bottom lip. Eleanor felt it there like a beacon. She should wipe it with her kerchief.

The tip of her tongue stole between her lips and licked up the droplet. Another shiver wiggled through her.

What was she doing?

“Now then, miss,” Mrs. Hodges said, “you’d best go and leave the kitchen to me, and I’ll fix up a nice dinner for you.”

Clutching the cup in both palms, Eleanor went to the door. Taliesin stepped back but with so little space she had to shift sideways to move past him. She darted a glance upward.

Immobility. His. Hers. She could see every line, every whisker that had not been on his face eleven years ago. Not the same boy she’d known. A man now. Her pulse fluttered. Then it fluttered harder as his scent mingled with the flavor of chocolate upon her tongue. Horse. Leather. Him. The same. It tangled in her nose, in her head, a memory barreling through her, while he watched her eyes from inches away.

She slipped past him.

The taproom was empty now. Mr. Treadwell was probably in the stable seeing to his Arthurian characters and Betsy must be in their room seeing to mundane tasks Eleanor was accustomed to seeing to herself.

“Chocolate?” the incubus behind her said. “Missing the luxuries of the ducal mansion so soon, are you?”

She swung around to him and the chocolate sloshed in the cup. “Is that what you think? That I have grown spoiled by my sisters’ good fortune?”

“No.” His black eyes hooded.

“No? Is that all you can say?” Her tongue, it seemed, was an unbridled thing. Too much prison. Too much feeling to swallow again and again. “We’ve not seen each other in eleven years, and now for four days you have said nothing to me.”

Again he leaned his shoulder against the doorpost in an attitude of sublime nonchalance. “You made it clear you did not wish my escort. I am respecting that.”

She didn’t believe it. He had never respected her. He had teased her endlessly. “You could at least speak to me.”

“What would you have me say?”

“Anything. How do you go along these days, Eleanor? How is the parish? Is it still the same as eleven years ago when I departed so precipitously, without warning, without word?”

His face grew still, planes of dark beauty like hewn marble. “Ah,” he said in a low voice. “You wish for empty pleasantries. Or perhaps an apology? I regret that neither is in my lexicon.”

“I don’t wish for pleasantries or apologies. I don’t care why you left as you did. But you hurt Papa. Do you even know how deeply you hurt him?”

His lips were an unbreakable line.

“He wouldn’t even speak of you.” Locked behind bars for years, Eleanor’s words now tumbled forth. “He said nothing except when Ravenna mentioned you. She did not understand why you left either, but she accepted it in her way. She always thought you would return. But Papa didn’t. And it wounded him.”

“I wrote to him,” he said after a moment.

“Rarely. So few letters that the pages grew thin from folding and unfolding. He never said a word about them or read a line to us, but do you know where he kept them? In his Bible, tucked in Luke, chapter fifteen. The story of the prodigal son.”

His eyes had become hard obsidian. But he remained silent.

Her hands clenched around the cup. “Why won’t you speak?” she exclaimed.

“Seems like you’re speaking enough for the both of us.” His perfect lips barely moved.

“Can’t you even be civil? Or did you leave those lessons behind too when you left St. Petroc?”

“Listen to you. As righteous as you always were.”

She threw the chocolate at him.

She didn’t know quite how it happened. One moment strange, frantic panic coursed through her, straight from her heels to her throat. The next moment a demon possessed her, seizing her arm and forcing it to jut forward and disgorge the contents of her cup at him. Chocolate spattered everywhere-on the wall, the doorpost, and on the dark, handsome man from her past for whom she had wept months of tears.

“What in the-” But he didn’t finish. Instead he came at her. Her foot dropped back but he grabbed her wrist and jerked her hand with the cup up between them. “What do you think you’re doing?” Chocolate dripped down her wrist and along his cheeks and lips. He stared down at her in astonishment.

“Wasting my chocolate.” She tugged. His grip tightened. Arm to arm, he held her close, and he did not look into her eyes. He looked at her lips. The shadows in his eyes were deeper, but now limned with fever brightness, so bright that she could see the flecks of brown there that she had discovered as a girl.

“How do you go along these days, Eleanor?” His voice was rough.

“How is the parish?” His gaze never left her lips, his fingers strong around her wrist. “Is it still the same as eleven years ago when I departed?”

“Precipitously,” she whispered. “Without warning. Without word.” The syllables trailed into the silence of her raucous heartbeat.

“Precipitously. Without warning.”

Through his hand she felt him. Her skin, her bones, her blood felt him.

“You are poking fun at me,” she said. “Don’t.”

“What will it be, Eleanor? You demanded my attention. You have it now. Do you want it or not?”

She wanted to taste the chocolate on his lips. She wanted to remember the danger and delirium she’d felt the last time she had been entirely alive. …

This is one trilogy that I am ecstatic to have picked up! You have to read each novel to know what is going on. With each release it has shed and opened up new light, adventure, and the struggle between Playboy Jonas and Sarah. Even though I loved each one I have to say this is my favorite. You really get a deep connection with the characters especially with what Jonas went through and how it affected his whole life. Within the first couple chapters my heart felt like it was being ripped apart and I could feel almost what was happening to the characters. They bring in the big guns and trust me things become very heated for those involved. Oh and I cant forget the awesome and beautiful Kat and Josh!! I loved these two! The conclusion was perfect and I do mean perfectly done especially after everything that has happened. The characters will not let you down and have become more loved as the stories have progessed. The plot is out of this world mind blowing!
The authors talented is remarkable when they can make me have this type of connection!! I could tell that she really put a lot of passion within this series, especially this closing. I also enjoyed that even though your getting point of views from Jonas and Sarah the author actually made it known rather than having to guess. If you enjoy a hot erotica but that has also epic and amazing on your edge suspense scenes than make this your next trilogy! !

When playboy businessman Jonas Faraday receives a private note from the anonymous intake agent assigned to process his online application to an exclusive club, he becomes obsessed with finding her and giving her the satisfaction she claims has always eluded her, in order to fulfill his own desperate need for redemption.

Sarah: “When I read Jonas Faraday’s brutally honest personal message on his application to The Club—I practically climaxed at my desk. I’m an idiot to risk losing my job but I couldn’t resist contacting him. I knew my confession would be like dangling an irresistible carrot in front of his nose—but never in a million years did I think he’d actually hunt me down.”

Jonas: “I was shocked to get my intake agent’s email—I’d attached that note to my application on a whim, never expecting a reply from an actual person, let alone a reply as mind blowing as that. Her message was so alluring, so irresistible, I’ve been spiraling into a full-blown obsession ever since I got it. What’s her name? What does she look like? Finding her is my top priority.”

In The Club, what starts out as an innocent exploration of attraction quickly spirals into a steamy story of unbridled passion, obsession, heartbreak, and, ultimately, redemption

Guest Post

Greetings from the hot and humid state of Oklahoma!  My name is Mia Dymond and I write sexy contemporary romance novels with a twist of sass. I currently have fourteen novels available on retailers including iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Amazon, and Smashwords.

My most recent release is Treasure Me, Book in the Alpha Four series.  Alpha Four is a tough, no-nonsense group of ex-Army Rangers with muscles of stone and hearts of gold.  Book one is the story of Lt. Dagan “Rebel” Caldwell and Sophie Graystone, a couple who clashes at every turn with the need for control.  I hope you’ll enjoy the rocky journey they travel to fall in love.  Please enjoy an excerpt:

Once Rebel held two steaming cups of coffee, he headed back to the table and sat beside her.  Much to his relief, she wasted no time in touching him.  She wrapped one hand around her cup, and wrapped the other around his forearm, her fingers drawing lazy circles against his skin.

“I’m curious,” she said as her fingers taunted the nerves beneath his skin, “how did you get your nickname?”

He chuckled low under his breath.  Curiosity was a good start.

“Curious, huh?”

She nodded.

“I’ve never been one to follow protocol.”

“In the Army?”

“In life.  I enlisted in an act of rebellion.”

“Is that a decision you regret?”

“Not in the least.  Thunder, Chaos, and Ace made it all worthwhile.”

“You guys are close.”

“I take it there are several stories behind those nicknames too.”

He nodded without elaboration.

“So,” she prompted, “tell me about your team.”

“Can’t do that.”

“Confidential.  I’d have to silence you if I told you and I’m not sure that’s possible.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’m confident you’d find a way to challenge my methods.”

“You’d be disappointed if I didn’t.”

He snickered, aroused as hell by the fact that she didn’t hesitate before she fired right back at him.  No doubt, she’d challenge him alright and she was absolutely correct when she responded – disappointed didn’t begin to describe his feelings.
“Thunder assembled Alpha Four when he retired from the Army. It only took three phone calls to build a team.”

“The four of you are very loyal.”

He nodded.  “There’s just something about fighting evil that brings a team together.”

“Do you think about it often?”

He hesitated, weighing the decision to answer her.  He’d seen a whole lot of evil during his military tours, things that he’d never share with her.  Yet, thanks to Uncle Sam and Thunder, he’d learned to file it so far away that even memory couldn’t find it.

He glanced down at her fingers, still rubbing circles on his forearm and distracting him from answering her question.  Her soft, gentle touch caused the nerves under his skin to quiver with excitement.  What in the hell had she asked?

“I can’t concentrate when you do that.”

Her brow furrowed.  “Do what?”

He glanced down at her fingers.  “That.  You’re driving me crazy.”

“Oh, really?”

Before he could stop himself, he nodded.  Oh. Hell. So much for never let them see you sweat.  He’d pretty much just handed her a whole locker of ammunition.

“Well, then.”  She blinked those deep, dark eyelashes several times as her fingers continued their assault.  “Perhaps you should answer my question.”

“I mean, no I don’t think about the evils in my past often.  Alpha Four gives me plenty to think about.”

“Are you in danger?”

“Not always.  Sometimes our assignments are as mundane as installing a security system.”

“Other times you put your life on the line for someone else.”

“Like me.”

“Well, no one’s tried to kill you …. yet.”  He gave her hand a slight squeeze, buying a second of courage for his next comment.  “But I’d put my life on the line for you without a second thought.”

I hope you’ll enjoy Treasure Me!  Happy Reading!!!

Do you enjoy a quick read that is filled with attraction at first site, romance, suspense, and one that will keep your attention from beginning to end the pick Treasure Me!! This is a first time read by this author for me and I was not mislead by the sypnosis.  I loved that it dealt with artifacts and had romance all into one great refreshing read.  With a strong heroine and hero characters this book had plenty of twists to keep you wondering what was in store next. The author wrote both characters to be pleasant and I enjoyed the interaction between these two. Yes you have this ex military man but he also showed that he is equal to Sophie, which i loved!!! Sophie is a hard worker but loves to get into trouble or does it find her? When her father calls in the security team we see tension form as they try to see who is behind trying to go after Sophie. Of course this novel leads to a whole new level. I enjoyed the plot and loved the characters! ! Is there room for another book coming I do believe so with what we saw. I would definitely pick this author up again and read this and other novels by her.

She knows her aunt, the duchess, has plenty of lessons in store to prepare her for her grand debut.
