Love on Loch Ness
By- Aubrie Dionne
Genre- Paranormal Romance
Dr. Gail Phillips steps onto the shores of Loch Ness to disprove the Loch Ness monster theory for good so everyone can stop wasting their time. As a marine biologist with a background in archeology, she’s convinced all of the world’s myths such as Big Foot, the Tasmanian devil, and even Nessie are lies. Her father disappeared while following Yettie tracks in the Alps, and she doesn’t want to lose another mislead soul.
Flynn Maloney comes from a family of fanatic cryptozoologists. As a native of Scotland, he believes in Nessie as strong as Gail believes in science. Despite his initial attraction for her, he’s joined her research team to prove her wrong. He wants to find Nessie for a special girl in his life, to show her dreams really can come true.
As they conduct sonar studies and sweeps of the lake, their differing opinions are at odds with their budding attraction. Gail doesn’t believe in anything unscientific, such as romance, thinking the charming Flynn Maloney is full of baloney. Flynn can’t believe he’s falling for someone with no imagination or faith. To make matters worse, their videographer is covering his true identity. Together they must unravel his plan before he destroys everything they are working for. Will Gail force Flynn to question his faith, or will she discover more than she bargained for in the Scottish highlands?
I enjoy reading anything that has a paranormal thing to it, so when I was saw that this had to do with one of the most famous legends around I wanted to see what the author would do with it. I enjoyed how she brought the main characters into the story because you have one that wants to prove that everything has a scientific fact to it and there is no way is it true (mainly because of her past history), and then you have a fanatic who has studied his whole lives for those that are impossible especially since he saw it when he was a little boy. When they both are brought together through their studies by a grant from a government to do two different things and see which one prevails things start to get interesting. However, when they start to have feelings brought into the equations what will it do to their believes or will the truth finally show itself in one magical moment? I loved the storyline that the author created because it was magical from the beginning and you could feel the sorrow for why Gail has suffered and reason with her feelings, she wants to believe but truthfully unless she actually sees it she falls back on the scientific facts. Then you have a boy that grew up believing in everything that may not exist but he will give up everything just to prove it especially when it is for the one he loves. This is a sweet story with a little romance that you will be wanting to cheer on, but there is a villain that may lie within the depths of the story who is out for only one thing. To get the kill of a lifetime and claim it as his/hers! So grab a copy and get ready for a this adventure you will not regret it.
