AUTHOR INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Q: What inspired you to write this book? My girls. I wanted to do something that would show them that any dream they have is reachable.
Q: Who is your favorite character and why? Right now, Melissa. She is the most ‘me’ out of all the Corps Crew. But, they change book by book so who knows who I will love the most next time J I do have a soft spot for Maddox.
Q: Are you currently working on a new book at this time? I am. Beck and Dee’s book is my current project. I can’t wait to show everyone what is really going on in Dee’s life.
Q: Can you tell us the name of the book and a little bit about it? ^^^
Q: Can you share something with everyone that inspires you? Once again, going to have to go with my girls here. They are my reason for everything I do. Their sweet smiles and crazy personalities push me to do everything I do.
Q: As a child what did you want to do when you grew up? A mommy. I didn’t want to work, at all. ❤
Q: If you could go on a date with one of the male/female characters from a book who would it be (Character name, Book Title & Author’s Name) and what would you do on that date? Probably Sway. I have a feeling I could get in some fun trouble with him. But, other than him… Melissa and Maddox. I have no clue what we would do but it would end up boozed and tattoed!
Q: Do you have a favorite playlist that you listen to when you write? I do! I have a spotify playlist for all my characters and one just for writing! You can search me on there (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Q: When you aren’t writing what do you do to relax and have fun? There isn’t much time to relax with 3 girls but when I’m not writing I am reading! J
Cage is a war hero who returned to find out that his sister was murdered while he was away serving his country. Since then he has decided that he would do anything in his power to prevent anyone to go through domestic violent and live the life that his loved sister Grace did.
Melissa is a hardworking women who has done everything she can to provide for her mother and her nephew. Her sister was killed due to domestic violent and wouldn’t listen to anything that Melissa had to say until it was too late. This is the story of Cage and Melissa and the battles that they face with trust and also seeing if they are able to love a person the way a man should a women rather than just for sexual urges.
As you have read what the authors disclaimer said it does contain information that is only for 18 + so if you are very easily offended I advise you not to read this book. I on the other hand enjoyed this book because it was just not about a man and women meets but it had some ups and downs. I enjoyed the fights that Mandy and Melissa had because in the end when you get pushed to the limit you can’t control your anger, was Mandy pushed to go crazy yes I think so but did she have a right to do what she did to Melissa no I don’t think so. But I think that the way Cage treated her played a big impact into this. However, through it all Cage has not failed to let it be known that it was just a sexual thing and no emotions attached, so he did not lead her on. The author also shows that Melissa is a person who can handle herself in various situations when put into them. I love when an author shows a woman is not helpless. It did feel a little rushed that Cage and Melissa only knew each other such a short time and fell in love so quickly; but in a way they have a special bond because of similar situations sometimes bring people closer at a faster pace. I would have liked to see a little more detail of the relationship between Cage and Melissa growing. I do love how the author brings about his love for the women around him that he feels like family to, it shows a softer side to him that even though you see the other parts it makes you see him at a different angle and know there is more to him. You can see how much Cage has fallen in love with Melissa because of the incidents that happens and as a reader my heart tore for him and her both. Cohen, how can you not love this little boy…Oh and I loved the character Sway, there was never a non-funny moment whenever the author brought this character into it. J
I decided to give this book a 4 star rating because I did enjoy the story in whole. There was some action, romance, small comedy. I will have to go back and read Axel’s story and how he fell in love with Izzy I think there is some secret there I need to uncover! Also, looking forward to her other stories that will be coming out for the other men that are like brothers to Cage. Overall I think this is a book looking into and recommend it.
Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed ‘Estrogen Ocean’, much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her ereader attached. As an ex-reviewer and blogger, Harper’s passion for reading runs deep. It wasn’t until ‘Axel’ decided to take up residence that she realized her true calling.
