Title-The Man Without Rules
Series-Without Rules Series # 1

Sebastian Boa is “The Man Without Rules.” Rules just don’t apply to him. When he meets Mariss Red one night at one of his night clubs, he sets his sights on her and makes a play. But Mariss is married and she has no desire to lose what she loves for a one night stand. The harder Sebastian tries the more Mariss refuses and he realizes that his feelings for her may be deeper than he ever thought possible for a man like him. And he finds himself changing to be worthy of the one woman who has ever told him no.
Sebastian took Mariss by the arm and pulled her down the hall. “Go to the car, Hellena,” he growled. “You’re going home.” He sent a quick text to his driver as he led Mariss to one of the empty edit bays. Sebastian locked the door and pushed her up against it. His knee, he slid between her legs and used it to lift her until she was at eye level with him.
“What are you doing?” Her voice came breathy and lacking conviction.
“I’m going to kiss you.” Without waiting for permission, Sebastian pressed his lips to hers. He didn’t care that she tasted like a chili cheese burger with extra onions. What mattered was the taste and feel of her lips against his. His tongue explored the depths of her mouth, caressing her tongue as he did.
She didn’t push him away. It occurred to him that she wasn’t able to tell him no, but he continued to kiss her until he’d had enough.
He had yet to realize that, with Mariss there was no such thing as enough. Most women were out of his system within weeks, but Mariss had been lurking there, tainting his blood for over half a year.
The kiss turned heated and hungry. Mariss moaned into his mouth and her fingers found their way into his hair. It was his turn to moan as the feel of her fingers on his scalp once again sent tingles up and down his spine.
“I want to take you to bed, Red.”
If ‘The Man Without Rules’ was made into a movie, and you could cast anyone you wanted, who would you cast?
Sebastian Boa – David Gandy
Juliet – Jennifer Morrison
Hellena – Franka Potente
I love the way the author decided to have the cover designed, especially since within the book you read that Sebastian Boa is always in a suit, and the color contrast is gorgeous. Sebastian Boa is one of the main characters in this novel and he is definitely steamy in all concepts from the way he looks all the way to the way he handles himself behind closed doors. He does not abide by any rule, at least which is until his rules start to slowly crumble once he has a run in with Marissa Red. His main business is to appease to the sexual taste of those that come to his club. He has this naughty sexy playboy persona that does not believe in love; and helps other’s fantasies come true in the bedroom either by himself or those that in the club. Marissa Red has had always one fantasy, and with the help of her husband it is filled. However, all parties quickly realize that the one-time thing may not be enough.
Sebastian and Marissa in my opinion have a tension of sexual frustration that they continuously want to fill but due to Marissa being married (as stated in the description) it is a constant pull. Sebastian wants more than the one night, and he has to agree to terms set by Marissa’s Husband. You start to see a softer side to Sebastian as he tries to win over Marissa. A novel would be boring without some of the other characters that spruce up a good book; well you meet Marissa’s husband and Helen who both play a major part in the book. Helen is Sebastian’s helper and of course you could consider her a mistress; however, a women scorned will definitely pull out her claws and bring out a darker side. The book is a continuously page by page turning event of pure delight.
This was the first book I have read from Ms. Kemp and I will have to say I was not disappointed, what I truly love about an erotic book is that nothing is left out in the details, and she DID NOT leave anything out. If I could I would give it higher than a 5. The book in my opinion was very highly written and did not lack for anything. It does have a cliffhanger so I will definitely be looking forward to the next one! I absolutely loved the raw tension and sexual scenes she put in the book, of course she even found room to show how someone can change and start feeling.
